History Project
The Aviation Pioneers Association (APA) has partnered with Embry-Riddle Prescott to further document and preserve the history and experiences of the Nonsked industry and the entrepreneurial people involved in this short-lived industry.
The Nonsked History Project at Embry-Riddle Prescott seeks to conserve and detail the history and memory of the “nonsked” era through available research and interviews, either recorded through audio or video, of APA members who participated in this unique aviation industry. These narratives will then be edited into digital stories that library visitors may listen to and watch. APA members will be able to provide valuable history to the amateur historians of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
The Aviation Pioneers Association Nonsked Archive housed at the Hazy Library and Learning Center, displays items, artifacts and documents pertinent to the nonsked airlines. The Archive compliments the Nonsked History Project by housing visual reference and supplementary artifacts, enhancing understanding of the different aspects of the industry function.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks to continue aviation history projects such as this. Your tax-deductible donation will serve as principle funding for the Aviation History Project Endowment at Embry-Riddle.
This service-learning project, established as an independent study course, serves Embry-Riddle students by providing hands-on communication assignments related to the aviation industry, and provides a collection of stories, videos, and photos related to aviation history.
